Mads Arild Vedøy is an offshore wind strategy and regulatory expert, specializing in permitting, stakeholder engagement, market entry, and project development. First working in offshore wind business development in 2010, he has built extensive experience in project consenting, regulatory processes, and supply chain development, supporting developers, suppliers, and policymakers across Norway, the Nordics, and the broader offshore wind industry.

  • Utsira Nord (RWE + NTE) – Offshore Wind Consenting Manager
    Led the permitting process, supply chain integration, and local value creation for the bidding process.
  • Sørlige Nordsjø II (RWE + Equinor) – Consenting Workgroup Lead & Stakeholder Engagement
    Led the consenting workgroup, working closely with offshore wind stakeholders and preparing for permitting and regulatory approvals.
  • METCentre – Regulatory & Project Management
    • First Offshore Wind Concession Under Norway’s Offshore Energy Act – Led a consenting process that resulted in the first concession awarded under the Act.
    • TetraSpar Floating Wind Demonstrator – Provided regulatory support and developed detailed plans for the project.
    • FLAGSHIP Project – Managed METCentre’s role in this EU-funded floating wind initiative, supporting the demonstration of a large-scale floating wind platform to improve cost efficiency and industrial scalability.

Mads is highly experienced in regulatory frameworks, permitting strategies, and offshore wind project execution, with a particular focus on floating offshore wind development. He has worked extensively with government authorities, industry stakeholders, and developers, ensuring regulatory compliance, securing approvals, and driving offshore wind expansion.
